Abstract

Tennis match integrity relies heavily on field officials' competence and their deep understanding of the rules. This community service project aims to address the need for standardized officiating at the local level through integrated workshops and field simulations. The training modules covered technical match rules, leadership techniques for chair umpires and line judges, and the professional code of conduct. The results indicated a significant improvement in participants' readiness to make accurate factual and legal decisions on-court. Furthermore, participants demonstrated a strengthened commitment to sporting integrity, specifically in preventing corruption and match-fixing according to international standards. In conclusion, systematic training for officials is essential to preserve the traditional character of tennis and ensure fair competition for all players
